The Florence Crittenton League of Lowell, incorporated in 1907, is a non-profit, non-sectarian social service agency offering information, support and professional services to young pregnant women, their families, and potential adoptive parents.

We are only licensed for adoptions in the State of Massachusetts. If you are a resident in any other state or country, we are unable to place a child with you. We hope our information can still be of use to you.

Directions to FCL by Car:


  • From either Route 3 or Route 495, exit at the Lowell Connector and follow for approximately one mile.
  • Take Exit 5N, Thorndike Street.
  • At the end of the ramp, continue right.
  • Follow Thorndike under the Connector, under a second underpass, and around to the right, where it becomes Dutton Street.
  • At the third light, pass diagonally through the intersection towards the left onto Arcand Drive, keeping the Lowell City Hall complex on your left.
  • At the next light, opposite the U.S. Post Office and a parking garage, turn left onto Father Morrissette Boulevard.
  • At the next set of lights, turn right onto Cabbott Street.
  • The second left is Hall Street. Florence Crittenton is the gray stone building on the right at 119 Hall Street.
  • We are located on the second floor above the Lowell Day Nursery, and parking is available across the street in Notini's parking lot.
